Sadly the GT3 is now departing the stable, it has me looking at the clio. I have a few things to do to it (largely cosmetic, and just another time based service), but i'm wondering whether to keep it in the long term where garage space is going to be restricted and i have my eye on something...

from experience at snetterton, i can strongly recommend here as a perfect spot for when your engine gives up.

Been a terrible showing by me this year (excuses, excuses... barely done anything car related sadly), wondering if i can pull it back and get some time in before winter. Still got a pile of mods to finish, so might just use the GT3 and set the clio up for a long winter of upgrades. Meanwhile...

any idea how heavy it is? I'd be tempted to just go around the car with a hole cutter and remove the same weight of metal from random places around the car rather than spend those hours doing that :D

Guess that extra comes from the cage. 1200kg seems a good number for 200hp. Even nicer with 240hp

Nuts. I think i’d do it with a built race engine, seems wasteful on a disposable block in a clio worth double that. Shame

I do like the AC tho :( Was that including rear seats? I’d basically want it to look ‘normal’ at eye level (dash) facing forwars but everything else can go. Might make road driving.. less fun. Airpods on noise cancelling..

I’d much rarher lose my exhaust noise and gain induction. Any idea how much it cost, and did you do any additional air intakes?

Does anyone know how much weight exists in the interior trim (i’m currently lacking rear seats but have a rear cage), would like to know the value or losing all plastic trim/carpets/centre console/padding etc. Likewise - anyone tried ITG ITBs on standard engine before?

Recently took this beast out for a test day around Brands Hatch. Hillarious fun, just flat out everywhere and 4 wheel drifting. We managed to pass a Nissan GTR (on it’s cooldown laps..), and a track prepped fiesta ST with some novice drivers. Oh and a rental clio 200 i was also smugly passing...
