2006 Deep Black Track Shed BudgetBoltOnBuild

It's an older Milltek by the looks of things. 2½" to the tip with a Powerflow box fitted in the centre section. At least the mid part is Milltek anyway! Got a nicer tone than the Scorpion in my opinion but I've only heard it on the dyno, as the car isn't road legal I haven't taken it for a rip yet.

Not exciting but it does sound nice. Less raspy than the Scorpion exhaust was.

Not many photos from the day but it's been a long one... So, 5am alarm to hit the road to Essex to visit Alex at AW Motorworks, lots of parts in the boot of the car ready to be fitted. I arrived about 7.40 and got the car unloaded ready to get started when Alex arrived at 8ish. He had the old...

At the moment it's just a placeholder as such. It'll be setup properly tomorrow and there's going to be more camber added to the rear to clear the arches a little. Parts of it. Now got Compbrake top mounts for more adjustability, still using the YSR uprights and shorter springs (8kg 150mm...

Suspension fuckery today! New springs all round to go with the new top mounts. Trying to go stiffer in the rear with a 10kg spring to see how that balances the car, if that doesn't work I'll go back to the standard 8kg spring. The rears are also shorter (125mm instead of 150mm) so I could bring...

    Home Garage Ideas

The beauty of lining the walls with boarding is you can use any old stuff. I used OSB chipboard as it was cheap and cheerful. It's all tied into the garage walls so it won't go anywhere. The workbench can take a lot of weight. Me and the missus were sat on it (combined weigh of probably 160kg...

    Home Garage Ideas

I ended up panelling the far end of my garage so I could screw shit to it. The workbench is "floating" with a support under the vice, only used some cheap 75x50mm timber from B&Q and a sheet of 18mm ply to make it. My garage isn't actually wide enough for the car to go in and comfortably work...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

https://gsmperformance.co.uk/product/omp-first-evo-racing-gloves-2/ One of the most common items you'll see. The OMP First Evo kit is cheapish but meets various regs. I've actually got 2 pairs because the first came up a bit small in the end. They take a few sessions to settle but I rate them.

Problem is that you've now drawn attention to the dirty screen wash cap and slightly off yellow dipstick!

CLIO 197 CUP - Project TF

I love my Blackline but if I could do it all again I'd go Gripper. Croft REALLY highlights the need for a diff out of the last corner especially. Be honest. Were you flat through the back section? Jim Clark Esses and Barcroft feels mega if you can do it flat. A safety lift into Barcroft is...

    Track Day Fuel Storage

I normally fill the car up on the way and then fill a pair of NATO Jerry cans. I've got a fuel funnel and just pour away, just make sure you're not in a windy area! Same thing as Iain though, I tow so space isn't an issue. I've looked into the VP jugs to fill but to be honest I'm a cheapskate...

Snetterton happened. Met up with @Bomster and another mate with a tasty Corvette. I'd booked a garage because I assumed it was going to be red hot all day but I was wrong. Still nice to have the space though. Alex from AW Motorworks was there in a freshly built 182 turbo as seen above, the few...

Cleaned, loaded and ready to roll. The Mondeo passed its MOT last week, I was fully expecting a fail for broken rear springs as it sits low anyway Obviously lower as the trailer is hitched up. I might lower it soon, I like the way the back sits when it's got the trailer on, the front looks daft...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I always carry a spare in my toolbox, I had one remove itself earlier this year during the day, which was horrible as it was early in the year and the sun was low in the sky. Exactly the height of the bit I lost!

If it covers the sensor it'll go over the strip. As demonstrated here.
