Congrats! Think I am inevitably on the list to go the same way, I had a go in both, cupped and recaro'd 250 and the same 265, didnt notice the difference really, maybe on track where I could make 10 laps each, would take a 250 right away if I only had a good deal on the 197. 250 is just epic...

picked up a set brand new from the dealership today, getting them fitted together with the balljoint I ordered at R_sport next week, should be well prepped for the spring to come, the contis sc5's lookin healthy, should last well for the next six months before the next winter comes ;)

no need to get a whole new unit, the bushes are exchangeable, no need to do both sides if the other one is ok, also no difference between cup and non cup.

took a while to get under the car and got it read, if anyone needs it in the future, cup chassis front shock absorber off an early R27 is 8200 682 323.

is it possible to have the balljoint replaced? isnt it the whole arm needing replacing then?

Anyone familiar with the renault part number for the 197 ? My car is a non cup, so using my VIN will only display the non cup shock absorber... need to get a set for the front as I put a set bought second hand and one of the front ones is gone, thanks for the help!

there is no real mechanical limited slip diff available, its just what they cal "RS.Diff" which is braking the spinning wheel, but its good news that it works that well that you have mistaken it for a real one! Is it even mechanically possible to have the LSD fitted in the EDC gearbox?

if you spent the last 10 years driving a kia rio than maybe the cee'd is an upgrade... having owned a 197 it would be wiser to spend whatever the price difference is on a used 197 to a new kia on the full rebuilt of the 197 and enjoy it for the 7 years ;)

It was done at the dealers, so maybe there was an error log in the obd that told them what happened, pretty sure its possible to do it yourself but maybe it needs the obd error logs to be deleted first...

anyone tried the POTENZA ADRENALIN RE002 ? they do look good, my CSC5's are good at least for this spring / summer and tempted to go the bridgestone way with the next set...

I had the exact same problem, in my case it was the rear axle xenon levelling sensor, a quick fix at around 120 iirc

thats what I read, plus VAT...

I am pretty sure it would cause an error message if there was anything wrong with it.... what's happening to make you think its the sensor?

the 500 is what I first thought when seeing this wheel, looks good, does it exist in the 197/200 fitment to begin with?

thanks all! the car is fixed, done the mounts and changed to cup dampers and eibach springs at the same time, what a difference that made to the car, transformed it completely, also a lilbit quieter ;)
