Thanks for the reply It seems to indicate 20th anniversary ! But seems to have some of the options of the Edition 20 . Like the rims and red calipers I did buy it from the first owner and I don't think he changed anything , may be he specked it like that at purchase time .

    Block identification F4r 830/832

That makes sense as this car has a six speed box and the motor was in the car for a very short time , so does fit . Now I need to confirm the crank ? Piston have teflon coated side skirts , so would assume are correct . I wold really like a definitive answer . Thanks for the info

    Block identification F4r 830/832

Some help please . My block has F4A on it ? It does have a cam belt driven water pump . The motor was imported from the UK and a brand new head was fitted here in Cape Town . Before I rebuild the bottom end I just want to confirm it is in fact a 830/832 bottom end . There are cheap imported...

Don't know Clio's very well , but those are cup wheels ? I bought it with the motor in pieces . Looks to have run a bearing . Engineering shop also said bores were oval !! When I measured them they didn't seem to bad . Going to rebuild myself , maybe lighten a few bits .

    Lightened flywheels

This whole weight thing is only half the story . It's got to do with rotational inertia . The more mass you can remove further from the center the better . The pic I think you posted shows the machined slots on the outer edge , which is exactly where you want to remove the mass . The 300g you...

Fast road / blue print std motor

I have just bought a 20th anniversary with a blown motor . It would seem that it has run bearings . The engineering shop told me the bores where oval , although when I measured them they were not far out . Where do I find the bore and crank journal specs ? I want to build a " blue printed "...

    Hi

Done deal , but now do I rebuild the NA motor or Meglio it ? It has a brand new head , but needs pistons and I would think rods . How strong is the crank ? Can it be cut 10/10 and still be reliable ?

    Hi

Hi R27 never came off . But I have found this ? Considering a Meglio conversion , subassembly is done on this car .
