Adams kindly quoted me £410 all in for a new condenser which is an improvement. He mentioned he has seen a few Clios with a plate / mesh over the condenser to stop the stone chips. Has anyone actually carried this out?

id like to say i'm joking but im not, thats what they want to charge. Its crazy so ive just decided to not have air con instead. The condense itself "costs me" £115 +VAT brand new (google it theres plenty for sale) so its all in the work involved.

well i took mine for the air con fixing last week, exactly like yours its got holes in it. Renault Wakefield quoted me £557 to replace with a new condenser. Why's yours so cheap or whys mine so expensive?

i'm from over Brighouse way (15 mins from you) and oddly enough had a C2 before my Clio. Id actually give my right leg to have the C2 again, i hate my Clio in every possible way and will be getting rid the second i can, hopefully your ownership will be better than mine ;-)

yeh Nick totally agree. I kind of sway more to the marketing mistake. No matter what anyone thinks, the Gordini is awesome, love the Clio in that outfit, shame Renault dont :)

Renault are so wrong to refer to their own product as "a mistake", they are idiots. After spending over 10 years now in sales and marketing, rule number 1 : never ever slate your own product.

Right update : did end up going up to Saddleworth Moor for a run out, I'll be honest i sort of wasn't careful and did drive fast and smiled a lot, it was hugely fun and everything was working 100% correctly, no issues what so ever. Following morning, couldn't start the engine without the error...

Hmmm not what i expected...the battery needs charging. According to the mechanic after checking the computer and error reports etc, the battery is down on juice and its starving the steering which is the most thirsty part of the car apparently. Weird thing is its not down on much as the car...

i totally agree with everything you say and urge you sell up. having owned my 197 cup since July last year, im sick to death. All i get are constant bills everytime i go anywhere near the damn thing, it really isnt worth it.

Anyone know where i can get these now-a-days? Ideally i only want the passenger side but if they come as a pair then so be it.
