Dont do it. I have bought a car with the centre section missing and the noise is embarrassing. I have just welded a centre silencer in and it is much quieter and more responsive.

It bolts onto a metal bracket which is fixed to the n/s axle mount and the other end of the small rods fix onto the axle itself. It is the orientation of the small rods that I think I may have messed up.....if that makes any sense at all

Picked up another beam today along with a complete o/s/r hub assembly. Working over the weekend so Monday will be changing it over and hopefully get it sorted.

It is well out as you can see it with the car on the ground with the wheels on.

Got it welded yesterday and all seems fine except for the dreadful exhaust note the car has. It would seem to only have a back box and sounds like a wasp in a tin can. There is also heavy vibes/knocking from under the front passenger footwell yet the exhaust and manifold is well clear of the car?
