Had the oil, oil filter, gearbox oil and violent changed and all is fine apart from it feels slower now. Can't put my finger on it but just seems slower as if it's heavier. i need a remap as iv fitted akra and itg....... But it was fine before the service, it goes well but just not aswell...

Go akra, I never looked back. Makes all the proper noise you want without sounding like a top chav around towns.....

Thought about zircotec coating the parts instead? Gives the desired look and aids temps etc?

I had an Audi tt QS 240 and chucked £5k at her, had the lot, huge brakes, full 3" system, bilstein coilovers the lot. Was quick but was so boring, I just got it to be a show off. Had it less than a year and got the clio 200.... I enjoy the clio more but miss the showing off a lot.

Fitted my akrapovic decat system and didn't notice a flat spot whatsoever. Urban myth I reckon...... Loads of people say you get one but many say you don't, I haven't had one at all.

Iv got an itg maxogen intake running the normal pipe work retaining the battery and I find it runs spot on, defiantly more power on tap and the running temps by feeling by hand and the intake casing it's cold so must be working. Not sure in SA though lol.

Will you be balancing the chambers after?

i just can't see how that is any good stuck behind the battery with no air feed, as the oem feed works on suction/draw but that is just there hoping air gets there lol. Itg all day long. Heat soak from this will be horrendous I imagine.

You seen the thread about securing the loose sensor on the inlet mate? Known for being loose and people who have secured it down notice a big improvement.

Well iv just fitted my poly bush upper torque mount, was pretty strait forward. Haven't yet tried it but i will later on ;).

ITG all the way, enclosed kit is always going to be better than an open cone sitting above the manifold.

Get the intake, the noise alone is worth it. Get a decat back system aswell, the pick up is much stronger and also sounds better, it's more about how it feels with mods on these engines/cars. I had a civic type r ep3 premier edition before and got another 40bhp from her with bolt ons. It's just...
