I am deffo getting these uprated rod bolts fitted to my car once I get it back from Renault, can these be fitted without ripping the whole engine out?

Renault said to me that they guarantee these engines for 100,000 miles, so as my car had covered 30% of this mileage they would foot 70% of the bill. Pretty good really and I can't see why they wouldn't do this for anyone as long as the car has been serviced at a reputable garage and not modified.

All boxed, should have the car back a week today. Not so bad after all, can't fault that service. Renault St Helens have pretty much sorted everything out as well, fair play to them.

haha they said the cost is £6000 and that is discounted by RUK. Christmas round the corner and a month long trip to Australia in January, £1400 is not ideal.

So, Renault want £1400 for a brand new engine, fitted and with a 12 month guarantee. What to do....

They were selling the fedrals for £115 a tyre at oulton park the other week from the mobile tyre fitter. They don't last longer than the 888s but are definately much better in the wet.

Sods law, my engine went bang a couple of hours ago coming up to 27,000 miles and my extended warranty ran out 3 weeks ago. WOW. :swear:
