I think it works the same as company fleet insurance, anyone under 25 has to be a named driver.

Go to Toomeys in Southend... John King (RS specialist) is a top bloke, IMO. Go to thier website... good selection of cars when I was last there - 197s & 200s. Think most dealers have a 21yrish age limit due to thier insurance... otherwise you should be fine. Also, cant seem to find any 197 or...

Personally I am glad I didn't go 'CUP'. The standard 197 handles like nothing else, & imo could handle another 30+bhp! It also has all the gadgets & comfort for crusing & a ride home from work... If you want to 'give it some' - change down 2-3 gears & go for it!

Mine lost all forward gears after 700s mile of purchase! I contacted the Renault dealer I bought it from & they said they are not interested in collecting the car cos the don't know if it is a warranty fault! An email to RUK - no reply... Took my car back to dealers 2 weeks later...

I am no detailer... but you would have achived that 'hose run-off' by just applying some polish! And one thing I have learned from professional finnishers/ painters is to never polish in swirls... Always polish 'back & forth' the length of your car.

Though I prefer the drive of a car, over the looks... I parked in Culver street(jtn head st) in Colchester to post a letter, & when I came back to my car it looked AWSOME! Maybe it was the street lighting or the cobbled streets, but it looked soooo wide from the rear.

Glazed pads = good pedal pressure. Air in the line = Foot/pedal travels more than usual. Tho, having re-read the thread, It does sound like the calipers have seized or glazed/ well worn pads.
