I think if this fails they will be replacing alot more than just the cam-belt LOL

When i go and collect the car this evening. I shall be asking for everything in writing. Just in case something goes wrong. The cam-belt is due in sept 2012.

Thought i would update this post, as it might be of use to someone else. The car has been with Renault for the last two days. They have admitted that they can hear the noise and that it is coming from the cam-belt pulley area. However, as its only making the noise they feel it does not need...

Car is with Renault for this and a few other things. I have asked that all Engine mounts are checked. Hopefully something will be found.

Thread revival. Seems to be doing this on my 197 too. After about a 30 min run. Did we ever find out if this is normal or?

Does not make the noise when driving in reverse. Only when selecting the reverse gear.
