Im travelling up to Scotland next weekend for a few days. Is there anything i should check or change before taking the trip.. the trip is 450miles each way.

Just had a call from the Dealership.
They have been speaking to the warranty company and they have agreed to replace the cam - belt kit. Only have to pay for the Aux belt kit which is fair.
Also going to replace the drivers side door locking handle.
So, hats of to the dealership in...

If you can get it done under warranty mate then all good.
I have had discussions with RUK regarding a thread i have on this forum. They hinted they would "look into" the situation if the cam belt snapped before the service interval. But they did not say it would be covered fully..
They are normally a real sh*t to get out. So i would wait until you have all of the brake parts you wanted to replace. Then do it all at the same time.
Has the service department at the dealer carried out a service on the car before you pick it up?
If they are in the middle of doing it, maybe they can service the brakes and put the new pins in for you?

Bottom line is, they do not think the noise is a problem and they will not replace the item / items that go with it.
The Cam-belt pulleys and tensioners are serviceable items (As with anything on a car if you leave it long enough)
