IMHO an awful waste of money for a road car. Invest in a better set of pads on standard discs and these brakes are more than adequate for anything you'll do on road, and on track TBH.

Doesn't sound like you necessarily need a specialist for those jobs. re specialists a lot of people will recommend Fred at BTM. Work is great but in my experience he is a little chaotic and if you are busy and need to rely on things getting done when they have been booked in then he's not...

p.s. did they pull the old 'new tyres therefore needs tracking' BS or did you actually need an alignment?

tracking vs full alignment did you actually get a 4 wheel alignment i.e. comes with print out of readings for all four corners. or did they 'track it' i.e. align front wheels to rear? an alignment is not an alignment etc.

Prepare to do short stints. They'll go off in no time, especially in warm weather.

agree BUT those brembo pads are good pads - before I got some carbotech xp8s I did track days and road driving with these and they held up fine. In this case I wouldn't pay £100 for a renault OE stamped part as I don't believe the quality or performance is better. the XP8s are a world apart...

That is a stonkingly good part ex offer. Probably reflects the true leeway in the sticker price. £17k for a clio is a lot regardless.
