These are fantastic with a set of low fitted real buckets in. Very different driving experience. Have Corbeaus with rear cage in mine and it's fantastic (although can't see any kerb close up anymore!!).

Not sure it was an inspired call at all. Hamilton was scared into the pits by Rosberg catching him hand over fist. If the rain had held for another lap it could have been his race. Rosberg was massively faster in those conditions.

Can't comment on the mintex on the clio but I have them on my daily and I think they are great. Really good initial bite and much more stopping power than standard pads.

Agree with Chris91. On the road you really don't need a faster car and if excitement is accelerating quicker to the speed limit (or wherever) then the clio's not the car. On track the clio could do with more grunt but the fun is all in the corners and stopping. Have driven and had faster cars...

Had an R26 for 5 months as a second car to the 200. Sold it on as just didn't find it as much fun as the 200. Mapped and quick but found it a tad boring to be honest in comparison. I don't understand why you are saying you preferred the 172 because it was 'rawer', but then are looking at Megs...

Gulp. Do they last well? The Carbotechs wear well considering I've done probably about 6 trackdays with them in and still have a few mil of material left.

How much are the pagids? XP8s were £200ish.

For the road I'd get something like the yoko AD08r rather than an outright semi slick. TBH on the road if you're getting enough heat in a semi slick then you are probably driving dangerously.

The dunlops are superb. Last ages, and don't go off as above.
