I've got a customer who has a huge car collection, his latest edition is a 458, and yes believe it or not "Its quick but not that quick" :001_rolleyes:
I just recently had to have a panel resprayed due to sap contamination. It was on the car just two days but bonded beyond removal. Autoglym, tardis, clay, metho, nail polish remover.. it was stuffed
There was an widowed elderly lady in our area that was scammed by something similar to this, the bank managed to stop the transaction in time but they tried taking $250k (There are some very cashed up people around me!)
You should be able to fix it without having to replace the tailgate. My boss had a golf umbrella pushed through the door of his car, they managed to fix it somehow. - I think they welded a plate behind it and filled it somehow???
How hard is it to install a back box and mid silencer? Ive got a supersprint system on order which uses bolt on connections and Im wondering if its worth the $200-400+ quote I got to install it?
Im fairly mechanically minded so is it something I should attempt or not?
Cheers
Liam
I wasnt happy that mines just risen to the equivilant of 450 quid... although looking at this thread Ill keep my mouth shut... 18, wrote a car off last year (nature got in the way) and Ive only had my license 2 years....
I definitely think if you've got big enough balls you can get away with a lot of things like this. It was late last year that Sydneys biggest casino handed over the keys to a ferrari f430 parked in valet parking just because he said he owned it
