The Clio handles better. Dont get me wrong. I love the way it drives. But its just so cheap and nasty in all other areas. I couldnt believe how rusty everything was under the car with only 6k miles on the clock when it was on the ramps at BTM.

Probably that you want an Edition 30. :D

Used to be a Club GTI favourite when it was an airfield track day type event. Prices used to be dirt cheap back then, £25 per car. But you would get some serious stone chips. New tarmac looks nice, i posted a similar thread on Club GTI when i had the email from Javelin a few weeks back about it. :)

Better is a subjective word. :-p Had VWs since i could drive 12 years ago. Just dont feel the same in anything else.

Cost wasnt a reason for me. Fuel isnt too expensive yet. The Clio is a joke when it comes to MPG figures. I just didnt bond with it. In fact, i tried to get rid of it last year. Right car came up at work, Clio was doomed.

2.0 TSI. 210ps. Pearl Black, DSG gearbox, RNS510 Touch Screen Sat Nav, Multifunction steering wheel, Parking sensors, winter pack, mdi ipod prep in armrest, cruise control.

Couldnt find a decent spec Ed30 for the right price. Leon would have been Spanish (yes i know part of VAG). Plus, 5 doors are the work of the devil himself.

Well the Clio is being part exchanged next week. Just not enough interest private sale, so cutting my losses and getting rid. Never have i owned a car that has lost so much money in such a short space of time. Dont think i will buy French again. Next car is German. Anyone care to guess? On...

My 17x7.5 ET45s are literally level with the arches. So ET38 would sit much further out.

Oh dear. What did you do? Im going to get an Ed30 once the Clio has sold. Love them to bits. Should have stuck to my guns and bought one instead of the Clio as i massively miss my old Mk5 GTI.

Everyone knows they are crap on fuel though. But its not the reason its for sale.

Ive had faster cars that well exceed the Clios MPG figures. 8)
