Old bill are wising onto decats now, they'll have no problems looking under the car and identifying a lack of cat.
On these particular cars though the car can pass emissions with just the precat so I would consider that roadworthy and legal.
You would regret this choice, it may be quicker but it's boring! I'd go with a 250, getting cheap now for an early one and it's practically a clio on steroids.
IMO 320bhp on 225 internals is far too much, you want to look under 300 to be reliable but it's the torque that should be the governing factor not power. 1.3 bar is the max I'd go, although the 250 internals are much stronger but it's not commonly taken above 320 due to turbo restrictions.
Mine was:
198bhp with zorst, catcams fast road and decats
215bhp as above with ITBs and standalone
230bhp as above with catcams race with VVT delete
240bhp as above with forged high comp pistons and longer trumpets
Read the first page only so don't know if you've sorted this now. But going from the first post that's absolutely disgusting from Renault, I've had a few similar run ins with RUK where one day they agree to take action then completely turn around.
As for their workmanship I'd rather take it to...
If it were mine I'd only settle for a new bonnet, the cars too special to accept any less because of some immigrant pizza bloke. Papa Johns pizzas are ****e too, just to note :p
Sounds like you've damaged the clutch hydraulics somehow, I'm not sure if the clios are externally mounted slaves with a release fork or direct acting inside the bell housing. If it's the former then check to see if you haven't lodged something in the area of the fork which is restricting...
They're good for parts and delivery etc. and they did an engine conversion for me a few years back with fantastic workmanship and professionalism.
Never used their maps and I have heard bad things from a few close friends too.
Would be very difficult to prove the flush caused the damage though. I always listen to the professionals and when Opie oils was asked this question they said it's not wise, a cheap oil fill and flush is better to clean it.
I've always found Legoland a fantastic day out, it goes without saying during the weekends it can get silly busy but what theme park doesn't these days?
I always go on May 4th as they do a Star Wars theme with costumes, show and models. Never been into Star Wars but it's a great atmosphere!
Thought of a Fastchip RS Tuner? Failing that you have TDI in Lakeside next door to AmD with their awesome hub mounted dyno however they are expensive (£550 I was quoted for the 265 ). Danny at 519 Automotive is also a highly competent mapper.
