Best offer? do you mean make an offer?

    Air Filter

Cheers Shuv. I think an induction kit would be out of my budget, so a decent panel filter would be my best bet. I just want to give it the best chances to reach the peak power.

    Air Filter

I'm getting a remap next week and I realised I only have a bog standard panel filter installed. Will it matter much for the map or should I get a ramair filter or even an induction kit?

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

It's for noise (and when you close the door it cushions the impact). If you leave them off, it whistles like mad over 35. The glue on the new strips isn't thick enough/wide enough to stay stuck it seems. I have just left mine and I'll see how long they last

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

I'm not going to burst your bubble but the likelihood of it staying stuck firm the entire length is quite slim. I replaced one a few weeks ago. Like you i removed it, cleaned all the gunk away with Tardis and a scraper to ensure I got it all and then fit the new one and ensured it was stuck...

    Greg's Albi Blue Clio 200

I’ve got a busy and expensive week coming up! Going to see Dan at SJM on the 7th for the cambelt to be changed, the manifold fitted, remapped to remove the flat spot and a replacement inner tie rod to sort the knocking noise. Then, on the 9th, I will be getting the quarter windows tinted and...

    Tinting

Hi all, I'm looking to get my Clio's rear windows tinted. I have found the company, but they offer difference percentages and I am not sure which ones would suite the car and the colour. Has anyone had their windows tinted "aftermarket" and if so, what percentage did you go for? (extra...

    Greg's Albi Blue Clio 200

There were a lot of knowledgeable people there. Live demos of machine polishing, stone chip repair, 10% discount on pretty much every stall. I was stuck with what to buy as I didn't want to waste any money. So, after the 5 hour round trip to Waxstock, it was overdue a clean (flooded...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Yep, If the car is beading and well protected, I can lay it onto the roof in 4 sections, pat dry and remove. Sides are the same. The towel doesn't even feel wet after. Leave it to dry and then reuse. I only use the towel for drying, that's why its never washed. The problem with our Clio's...

    Greg's Albi Blue Clio 200

So, Waxstock. Had a budget of £100 and most of it was spent at Saverschoice. Inram is a top bloke, very knowledgeable and couldn't help more. I came back with.. Soft99 Kiwami Light KKD Tyresol KKD MistX - This is the best quick detailer I have ever used. Sooo much gloss Bilt Hamber Autowash...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

Yep, owner of Saverschoice and In2Detailing (Sister company). I echo the comment about quality. Some towels after washing become almost 'matted' yet these retain the softness wash after wash. Odd, it's not on the saverschoice website, but it is on the In2Detailing site...

    Shuv's Racing Blue 200...................

I bought a pack of 5 of these from Inram today at Waxstock. Softest microfibre I have every used. Inram is a very nice bloke, he helped me with everything I enquired about. His stall was ram packed everytime I went back. I did complain that he made me spend a lot of money though... The...

Things that irritate you while driving?

Too many to list... (some echo the above so i'm glad i'm not alone) When the light goes green yet the person in front is incapable of moving off at a decent speed. I don't mean floor it and wheel spin etc, just GOOOOOOO. People who see my car and the fly up my arse wanting a 'play'. Piss...

Yep, good guess. The new ones are also OEM Brembo too, so I'll wait and listen.

    Greg's Albi Blue Clio 200

Well, the squeaking has been officially fixed! It was the brake pads. They must have been contaminated, even though I sanded them back a few times. A quick trip to ECP and its braking harder and quieter than before :D Waxstock on Sunday, so I gave it a quick going over with Fusso and then a...

    Greg's Albi Blue Clio 200

Ha, never mind. It still squeals. It went so well for half a day. Only option now are new pads... Good news is it is booked in with Dan on the 7th August for a cambelt kit, fitting of the manifold, a remap and to find the source of the knock. Starting to fall out of love now with these...

    Greg's Albi Blue Clio 200

Well, I found out what the squealing was from the brakes... The metal on the face of the pistons in the brembo's had corroded slightly, causing small pieces to stick out towards the brake pads, so when I braked and the pads vibrated against the pistons, it squealed like a banshee. I used some...

Just a word of warning with the Autosmart Fallout Remover - it doesn't bleed. It still works, it just doesn't change colour. Also, a drop (or dollop?) of shampoo in a spray bottle topped up with water makes a perfectly good clay lube :)
