Cheers Shuv. I think an induction kit would be out of my budget, so a decent panel filter would be my best bet. I just want to give it the best chances to reach the peak power.

I'm getting a remap next week and I realised I only have a bog standard panel filter installed. Will it matter much for the map or should I get a ramair filter or even an induction kit?

It's for noise (and when you close the door it cushions the impact). If you leave them off, it whistles like mad over 35. The glue on the new strips isn't thick enough/wide enough to stay stuck it seems. I have just left mine and I'll see how long they last :smile:

I'm not going to burst your bubble but the likelihood of it staying stuck firm the entire length is quite slim. I replaced one a few weeks ago. Like you i removed it, cleaned all the gunk away with Tardis and a scraper to ensure I got it all and then fit the new one and ensured it was stuck...

Well, I found out what the squealing was from the brakes... The metal on the face of the pistons in the brembo's had corroded slightly, causing small pieces to stick out towards the brake pads, so when I braked and the pads vibrated against the pistons, it squealed like a banshee. I used some...

Just a word of warning with the Autosmart Fallout Remover - it doesn't bleed. It still works, it just doesn't change colour. Also, a drop (or dollop?) of shampoo in a spray bottle topped up with water makes a perfectly good clay lube :)
