    Throttle body

Think this is on my to do list this coming weekend if the weather sorts itself out. We've had snowflakes the size of your fist this morning coming down lol. What are people using to clean it, just some GT85 on a cloth or something a bit more potent like carb/brake cleaner?

    Front Speaker Help

You can buy an adapter from here < double check it's deffo the right one you need before you order though! The other option is to simply cut the block connector off and hard wire them directly to the terminals IF the existing wire comes out far enough. If you look at the terminals on your new...

    Clio 200 Stereo 'Upgrade'

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ will have everything you need. You're looking at about £40-£45 for the stalk adapter to keep that working. I believe getting the OEM display to work with aftermarket head units is a nightmare, the only ones that will work are some Alpine ones and even then...

    Plugs

Renault service schedule states 36k for plugs, so anything up to that is fine. I usually change the oil once a year using genuine Renault ELF 5w-40 fully synth and a genuine oil filter, I don't do the mileage in a year or track the car so I don't see the point in doing it every 6 months. The...

    197/200 Racer engines

Good thread here that may shed some light onto the differences --> http://www.clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?28307-CLIO-197-v-R3 Reading into it myself there sounds to be a lot of work that goes into getting 230-250bhp out of the racer engines. Probably cost thousands do reproduce that on a...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Believe it or not, that engine was on 115k! - Some would say just run in lol. I know some owners reporting that they've bought low mileage cars and they've still felt tight because the previous owner hadn't really driven them properly. Edit: Just found the old dyno graph once it was mapped too...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

There is definitely a lot of choice for tuning these engines that's for sure, I spent hours up on hours doing research before deciding on what modifications to go for. I did have an AEM CAI on mine for a few months which was wild, basically a cone filter mounted low down in the front bumper. It...

LY200 - too loud or blow up again, taking bets!

Awesome, can't wait to see the progress of this. A tuned K20 lump in a Clio = PORN! They are very very capable engines, it used to amaze me how they got slated for being 'torqueless' but in honesty they are easily as quick as most turbo hot hatches of the same era, you just had to be on the...

    Sunroof driving me MAD!

What condition are the rubber seals in? I'd see if you can pinpoint the rattle and replicate it, maybe get someone else to drive the car so you can have a good poke round while on the road to see what's causing it. Other than new seals I can't think of much else that would stop it.

Oil and Clean KTR Induction Kit

KTR sell a cleaning kit for their filter --> http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4778 Foam filters are fairly straightforward to clean, they have quite a high dust/dirt holding capacity though so unless it looks particularly dirty I wouldn't worry and leave it another year. But if...

    Best pads ever

The Ferodo DS2500's often get great reviews on various makes and models for being a decent fast road/track pad. Though they do need some heat behind them to work their best so that's something to bear in mine if you use the car for a daily.

    ECU Reset

The map won't be stored in the ECU's volatile memory so it will be fine. All re-setting the ECU does is clear the learnt adaptation values and some fault codes. Good read here --> http://www.technomotive.com/theory/myth/ecureset.htm

    Headlights stopped working

+1 on the scuttle drains, I checked mine when I bought the car. IIRC the drivers side one is quite a bit smaller than the passenger side one and was blocked up on mine. Fairly easy job to do, just have to take the wipers and scuttle off to get to them. I used some foam type cleaner and a few zip...

    Main dealer headache - Clutch

Are there any other Renault dealers in your area you can take it to for a second opinion? Or even have an independent mechanic give you a report which you can then shove under their noses? If it's under warranty it's under warranty, end of. Have you spoken to the dealership manager? I'd even...
