mine has rattlled a couple times now on startup after its been stood for a while so am thinking when i do the cambelt, i might get the dephaser replaced at the same time
I bought some brembo pads from eBay for a similar price and I have thought for a while they probably aren't genuine. They are fine for normal road use but I have some hot judder when I push hard which is normally caused by the pad material not heating the disc evenly
standard brembo pads hot judder is usually caused by the disks not being at a constant temp across its face so a pad change (with more metal content) usually sorts this
i have no judder at all during normal driving, its only when i get them really hot
Yeah I have the dimpled and grooved black edition on the front of my 197, fine on std pads but going to change to ds2500 soon as I get fade when pushing on
Fine so far but have only used them with stock pads, wouldn't recommend them for track use until I have tested them with better pads. The black coating is great though and keeps them looking smart
There was an r26 conversion on eBay recently for £1300, don't think it sold, that's gearbox with LSD, complete engine, ECU so yeah engines seem to be very cheap
That may have been there intention but for this climate in my opinion they made a mistake, I am much happier with my car now but rather than us all just sitting around discussing theory without any practical, I will do some logging with the RS tuner and see what the actual temps are during some...
While those rules are true to some extent, there is a narrow window where they apply. Too cold and the engine will waste energy on each cycle heating itself up. A cooler engine should be more det resistant allowing more ignition advance and more power.
It's generally considered that 82 is...
Could be lots of reasons, as always with cars, they are always a compromise. But Ktec sell the 182 thermostat for all models so that was enough to put my mind at rest.
It gets up to temp in minutes now, just wanted to adjust the temp the fan kicks in but if it's ECU controlled I won't be able...
