Correct, under the newest guidelines the car has to have the ''factory'' number of Cats fitted. But, if from the outside it appears that the car looks to have both Cats still then they're never going to take the exhaust off to look inside it. ;)

The less back pressure the better for ANY turbo car. They need only the smallest amount which will occour naturally within the decat pipe anyway. The real question you should be asking it what will my ECU cope better with? ;)
