Anyone come from something much more powerful?

Looking between 3-4.5k for a conversion. Depending on if you source parts yourself and how much of the work you do or who you employ to do it. There are a few threads on the subject, so worth a search.

    "Front Splitter Idea"

I have a Arai Motorsport front rubber splitter left over from my old Impreza. It sounds like exactly the sort of thing your after. I intend to fit it to mine one day when I finally get round to removing the bumper to spray my intercooler. Might be worth experimenting with something like a...

Anyone come from something much more powerful?

Interesting to read, as you seem to have had one of the most roller coaster experiences with a 200. Going from it being much better than your old car (astraaaaah wasn't it?), to becoming tuned by Tour De Farce, going back to standard and now being disliked by yourself. It's good to get input...

    Aftermarket buck seats

Nice seat. I have always been impressed with Cobra seats over the years, and demon tweeks have a decent offer on at the moment. The Suzuka being the closest to what your looking at: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/seats/cobra-suzuka-pro-fibreglass-seat-buy-one-get-2nd-half-price

Need help as iam new to this and getting a 200 tomorrow!!

Fair play. I guess we are not all blessed with RS knowledge from birth :) Worn seats? Mainly recaros? Common fault unfortunately. Not so much on steering wheels tho, so that's a bit odd. It's worth holding out for a good un!

Anyone come from something much more powerful?

B is fairly accurate, the rest isn't so true. Done 12k in mine with no issues and for me although it takes away the n/a nature it adds so much more and the cars balance isn't effected.

Anyone come from something much more powerful?

I came from a 350bhp JDM Impreza STi to my 200. I just echo most comments, these cars are amazing. Get them on the boil, and having a few bhp less is the last of your worries. get one and Go and enjoy! clewsey - Random question, is it you and your mates that all have the Racing Blue...

    Clio 197/200 or Clio 182?

Having owned both over the years, I personally wouldn't go back to a 182, even just for track work. If your budget can stretch to it, a 200 is the best choice. (All in my opinion)

    106 GTI snobiness?

Lets us not forget that mk2 vts' ran on 15's, whereas the gti ran 14's.

    Interesting times ahead.....

I think the cycle will be the same as the last few Renaultsport models. Everyone hates the new ones, then over time we get used to them, see them in the flesh and ultimately people start buying them. My only fear is the wrong sort of person buying the 197/200 and making them into the next...

    200RS Brakes

I would ignore the dealer, and put your hand in your pocket and spend some money. new fluid and pads as a minimum, then better discs if you want to really splash. Although I have spent some money on mine, they are literally amazing. All down to disc, pad and fluid choice, as the brembo...
