i never saw that run more than 280 ish must have been tuned up more while i had a break from 197s

good to hear was it hard to fit

after converting a 197/200 to 225 engine its clear the standard fuel pump is up to the job but at what point do you need to upgreade ? 300 bhp 320? 340? etc

i converted my 197 to turbo a few years ago ive had no trouble with cooling so far however i plan to get it on track and run some serious power through it by chance ive gained a megane radiator for free so what do i need to do to fit it or does it fit in with no extra work ? im running sc auto...

sorry i meant 197/200 but i bet a 400 bhp 172 is a rocket

is there any big power clios on here obviously boosted can someone point me in the right direction to there progress/build thread ?

right ive spent so much already i may aswell go the whole hog as i dont ever want to take this car apart again its getting forged pistons and rods and anything else its needs to get back on the road asap as this is my daily driver and im so stuck without it roll on pay day to get these parts...

One step forward and two steps back with my car at the min i ordered my new exhaust it came and its everything i hoped it would be, itll be so nice to have a sporty exhaust note again after driving around in near silence for so long.But im scared to refit my old standard pistons so the rebuild...

so i got the block back from roland alsops after a deglaze and a minimal skim after a lick of paint the block really looks the part then i added another off take onto the induction pipe so the vacume system is exactly as it should be from the factory

i ran a clio box for a while atough it delt with the extra tourqe it was horrible to drive with spinning up the wheels at every opertunnity 1st and second were a real handful since changing to the megane box its alot easier to drive and the gear ratios are much better for the engine definatly...

ive had no trouble running ac in my 197 bent the pipes slightly around the boost pipe

just a little update managed to find a air con pipe that i think will fit off a 1.4 down the scrap yard for a tenner so ive fitted it and bent both ac pipes a little to clear the 3 inch decat thats been causing me some trouble then i fitted a much needed heat sheild and relocted the abs wiring...

ok ill try that one of the wires must be redundant then ill see if i can find my old meg loom to pull the wiring conector off
