Xtreme Motorsport Aluminum (inium) Radiator

Hi all,

Browsing through Black Friday deals as the capitalist sucker that I am and came across this behemoth. Decent price, too.

Has anyone installed this? Might be some slight fitment issues to wiggle in, but in installing this, will it throw any codes or faults?

My ChatGPT friend mentioned the following being an issue:

  • It lacks a probe fitting and purge, as listed — meaning if your original cooling system relies on sensors (e.g. temperature sensor, coolant level sensor) or built-in bleed/purge features, you might need custom solutions or additional parts.

Thanks in advance guys!

Can't see any reason why it would be a problem. Coolant temp sensor doesn't sit on the radiator and stock rad doesn't have a purge/bleed valve either.

Looks like a straight swap, maybe some minor modification(s) to get it to fit properly but looks like it'll line up.

Stock radiator is usually fine though, unless you're in a hot country, though I've not tested in super hot (30C+) conditions on a regular basis!

I don’t see why you’d need such a radiator unless you’re rallying or full-on racing. I get that you live in a hot climate, but fitting the air conditioner radiator would be tricky. The car is built to run in places like the south of France and Spain, so if you’re having temperature issues, check the fan sensor for corrosion, the relays for fan speed, and the lower hard metal water pipe for leaks. Nissens offers perfectly fitting air con (940125) and water radiators (67284) for very little money.

I was looking for something like this for mine too from Toyosport,as i understand it will only take more time to heat up and more time to get warmer and warmer on heavy track use (or if you are turb'd/supercharged),only buying it as more sturdier than plastic and obliviously looks better lol.

To answer to the OP i cant see any issues fitting the one you linked, bit expenisve though for what it is.
