/DRIVE network on YouTube

Just wondering if any members watch the /DRIVE network on youtube? Personally I'm a big fan and think it's one of the best channels on YT for car content. Anyone who hasn't check it out should do!

Anyway, turns out they're gonna start charging a subscription for the longer vids as they just aren't making enough money to cover production costs. So what's everyones thoughts?

link to CH talking about it on PH.

Tbh, its only the Chris Harris vids that I watch on DRIVE.

I love Roadkill and Mighty Car Mods channels. If you've not watched them I highly recommend them.

I can't get enough of Chris Harris videos. He's one of the best car reviewers IMO.

I love the /DRIVE channel & I've seen Chris & his Farrari at Cribs Causeway near me.

Have they said anywhere how much & how often content is going up on /DRIVE+?

No mate, details seem a bit thin on the ground. Only that the content will be 'longer' and that shorter content and trailers will still be put up on /Drive. No mention of what they'll do with the other content. Personally I have a guilty pleasure of watching the /Tuned, /Muscle and the /AfterDrive vids.

It does seem steep N0ddie yeah. But I think that's because we're not used to having to pay for video content, you would pay that for a magazine subscription without a second thought though. I've recently cancelled my EVO and TopGear subscriptions, so might subscribe for Drive+ and see how much use I get out of it. I've never seen Roadkill, I do watch some of the MCM videos, but I find 'Moog' (the lad with the beard) a bit annoying after the first 5mins. I'm currently working my way through all the turbo MX5 vids for inspiration haha.

I'm a huge fan, Chris Harris is King! Will most probably subscribe, high quality internet surfing is tough to get nowadays, you sooner or later end up saying ''WTF am i watching right now?''.

He did indeed. Chris Harris has now left both Pistonheads and Drive.

He's about to embark on a new project which will be announced very soon.

CH hasn't "completely left" /Drive, but he is moving his Chris Harris on Cars vids to his own channel. I would imagine he'll keep the relationship with /Drive going as long as they have the contract NBC Sports network in the US because it gives him TV time and improves his image.

There were photos of Chris and the same cars with Tiff Needell on Twitter. I'm wondering if Chris will appear on 5th Gear?

He might do as he is no longer with Pistonheads. Cant remember what he went on to do now (my mate who is UK Franchise Manager for Pistonheads was telling me a few bits). Although there is a Pistonheads TV in the pipeline so I wonder if he would ever appear on that

He's doing Goodwood and Jalponik online and currently has a web campaign on the go which says his aim is to get on TV.
