1. Be it because its so loud it distorts when recorded or the equipment used was rubbish...that sounds **** to me.

2. Looked ridiculously uncontrollable to a racing driver, what chance does your average Joe have when on track?
 
The 275 Trophy will cost £28,930. The Ohlins suspension will cost £2000.

The price for the 265 has been reduced by £1000 to £25,930

1. Sounds like the mic was near the zaust on the outside imo

2. Looked to be fine to me, in what way was it uncontrollable?

No mate, my wife took a new job this week with a £9,000 pay cut! I was going to chop the 200 in for one and give her the 265 Trophy but you can guess whos having to give her the £9,000 difference which would have funded the car :thumb1:

Her new job is term time only so its good for us as she will only work 36 weeks a year and i only work 26 weeks a year so we can have plenty on quality time as a family together.

Not convinced its worth the upgrade from the trophy either. We still need a 5 seater so it would mean the 275 Trophy as opposed to the -R. My spec would be in black with turini's with PS cup2's and ohlins which comes to 32 and a half grand.

presuming the ohlins can be retro fitted i could do that and swap for PS cup 2's next time round for 3kish if not slightly cheaper.
 
I don't understand why they don't just push the engine up to 300hp and you gained another few seconds?

unlike aftermarket tuning companies Renault have meet emission regs and the engine has to last...the f4r-t doesn't have that much scope left in it...
 
im considering one of these. I've been hoping the would make a new version of the r26r for ages

went to renault main dealer today to enquire and he didn't know what i was on about and tried to sell me a megane GT….

Do like the new meg, the zorst and the fact its new makes it appealing, but the price...as said in the other thread, I might see what i can get one at trade price with best possible part-x offer on mine, but out of interest to see how figures work

I also think;

A) Would it be worth chopping my Trophy in to only loose BHP but gain an akra exhaust - no
B) Close to 40K opens up too many more options in my eyes. Sure i could get a trade price M2 (when released) for a similar figure
C) Just turned 23 so i should probably start being sensible and thinking about property...boringggg!

Wonder if/when akra will sell the meg system, checked recently on their site but nothing yet
 
Love the new .R but why is it only available in such bland colours (apart from Liquid Yellow but even that isnt exclusive).

Surely for the what the car is and the £ they're asking there should be exclusive colours, seems Racing Blue is a thing of the past for RenaultSport :worried:

40k is for a fully loaded -R

Why would you add weight to a -R version. Imo that would devalue the car.

You get a -R and add paint option + the ring pack only.

I will be looking into seeing if ohlines will fit and if you want a arka then I'm sure you will be able to buy that too at some point via a dealer but it's not a full system.

I'll also be fitting PS cup 2s when I change tyres again.

The trophy version is not limited so I may end up with one at some point. For now I have to find the wife's pay cut, pay for the silly money holiday we've booked and want to do Lapland to see Santa with the kids.
