Cheers mate ive ordered a Toyosport manifold. I'll give them a ring in the morning, the toyo manifold alot better then after a map?

Manifold blowing, car sounds like a tractor. Ive seen on posts that flexis are known to go on 197s, my question is where is best to take it in the West Yorkshire area? I rang Tony Banks up and they said they can repair the manifold but i have to get it taken off first which hasn't fully answered...

Im looking at 300 max, i don't want too much power. 300 seems safe enough :) i basically want it megged as cheap as i can based on what o already have between both cars. Then once its up and running i can upgrade bits that need doing? I'll deffo uprate the clutch though

I'll let you know if i pussy put of the build then haha. Intercooler, piping and clutch off the meg? So basically what will i need for fitting? Modified engine mounts etc?

Fair point. I'll have to look into it, i would have never taken megging my car seriously until now that ive practically got it all there ready

Sorry mate hes just said pistons and conrods which is bottom end if im right? All i know is bottom end is knocking and there could be a chance i could use my engine to fix it?

Basically a friend of mine has a 225 megane sport. He put money into forging the top end and now the bottom end is knocking. He's told me i can have whatever i need to meg mine at a good price. Will the top end fit the bottom end of my 197 seen as they are simular engines? What do i actually...

I can't see it being a big problem, if your car has faults afew days after then the remap is the cause of it i'd say. I know what you mean i looked into it alot too, rs tuning are suppose to be one of the best for remaps around here. Best thing i've done so far the car feels so much more alive.

Sorry guys for late reply. My car dyno'd at 197.8 in the end, car feels alot smoother and more responsive. Cars been fine these past few days, Paul did mention to me that if you have problems to let him know!

I only cleaned the outside of the car, but yeah they are deffo the symtoms!

Yeah, ive got a mate to plug it into a diagnostic tomorrow and im going to look at a full service too. I need it running its best asap! Cheers guys!

Ive got the sign to come off and it pulls better but still not full power
