To me that looks like Racing blue (baby blue as you say) I don't think there is such a thing as French blue for Mk3, the deeper 197 blue is called Albi blue

I bought a second hand wheel that had already been trimmed by Edge & later got it retrimmed by Royal steering wheels, Royal steering wheels seemed to be a lot better quality in my opinion

There is a simple & easy fix for this, you have to wedge something between the black plastic support attached below the headlight and the front crash bar, this lifts the bumper up at the corner and holds it in place. I will find a picture tomorrow so you can see exactly what i mean.
