Thanks for the advice, I'm aware the shade of grey ([emoji28]) might be different, but willing to risk it... I had a look at different solutions last night and found the Koch Chemie but wasn't sure whether it would be suitable for Matt paints so cheers for that. Also heard positive things...

Thanks for your help, pulling off the letters is not really the issue... I'm more concerned about what product I can use to get remove the glue on a MATT paint once it's done!?

You'll excuse me for being 100% honest but you're about to buy a car that is -extremely- common and of which you surely won't be as proud as a Williams.

It may sound stupid and juvenile but I'd go to the guy's place get my money back, even if it costs me more than the cheque, just to make a point.

In the first 4 months, I've had: exhaust manifold, track rod ends, starter motor, hub carrier, discs and pads + timing belt. I'm pretty sure I've forgotten a couple of things...
