Heater blower stopped working, any suggestions?

Today went to work as normal, it was a cold morning, heaters worked fine. Popped out for lunch and the heaters worked fine, blowing well. Finished work 3 hours later and no blowers, 1,2,3,4 are all dead. I can feel warm air coming on slightly on 0 but no blowers at all. I have checked the fuses under the steering wheel and all seem fine. Are there fuses under the bonnet I should check? Really need the blowers working with the weather like it is, it's not only cold but the rain really steams up the car, driving around with the windows open isn't fun when it's raining and cold haha any suggestions on where I start with this? Any help would be much appreciated

First when was the pollen filter changed?. They are not that expensive but people forget about them and they get blocked with dirt and leaves that get into the system the fans work over time it's like putting your hand over the end of the hoover pipe while running you hear the load on the motor as it revs up well it's the same thing. Next to check the resistor pack normally the connector melts due to the load mine number 4 was not working the spade connector was good so instead of cutting the wire I put a new connector plastic housing end onto the loom. The blower motor could be faulty but 12V directly to it and if that works then its the resistor pack or connector. Just Google Clio mk3 fan or blower or resistor pack for help identifying the locations and parts.

Cheers for the advice mate. I last changed the pollen filter about a year ago but had it out about 4 months ago to give it an hoover. The blowers were fine this morning blowing as normal then when driving home from work I noticed they were dead which made me think fuse but they all seem fine. Will have to check the resister this weekend. Mine is an 06 plate and it's a manual heater system. Have any idea where the resistor is? Seen posts where people say it's under the scuttle and some say it's behind the glove box.

Its just up from the pollen filter remove the glove box if you want lots of access if you want.

Awesome. That picture had helped alot a made sense now iv seen the whole unit. This may or may not be a silly question but someone in work mentioned that if it was the resistor then number 4 should still work as it's a straight through, is this the case? Or is it possible for all 4 to stop with a faulty resistor? Typical this happens now this side of Christmas especially with the weather so shit. Gonna whip the pollen filter out this afternoon and see if i can see anything that doesn't look right .Fingers crossed it's just the resistor block

In mine the connections on the plug to the resistor had overheated causing intermittent connection. Drop the glove box and look at the plug. Even wiggling the plug would fix it temporarily. You can see the heat damage due to high resistance in turkie172 earlier image

Just popped to local garage and he said exactly the same thing. Just ordered a new block and loom on eBay for £5. It may not be that but for the sake of £5 may aswell pick one up .will drop the glove box this week and check it out. Cheers for the help lads well appreciated

If you go the way of splicing in a new end onto the loom end to fix the blow heater you should use solder butt connectors this is not a product placement but it's important that the joint is good strong and safe now I don't know if anyone else make them but I would use Wurth connectors that have heat shrink and a ring of solder inside so all you have to do is bare the end of the wire put the copper ends along side each other and then being carful not to melt everything else around you with the heat gun on it the ring of solder melts and joins the wires and at the same time the heat shrink seals the connection. It's best to use the heat gun deflector to focus the heat and practice with one first to get the feel of how they work and shield the background before you melt the dash and carpet. If the spade connectors in the original plug are still good I would swap the housing over then you are not cutting any wires.

Got the blower working on all settings. Done as mentioned above and managed to reach up give it a wiggle and it's working again for now so faulty resistor block it looks like
