KTEC Coilovers??

I believe these are a cheap set of coilovers rebranded (can’t remember the brand though!). Depending on the springs you have and the condition of your shocks I would say stay clear and maybe save for the likes of the Gaz kit or B14’s!

Agree with Eddie. Would steer well clear, depending how far you want to go with it, Gaz Golds are AWESOME. However if it's just occasional track/road use I'd probably head for B14s.

I was considering them too. They are definitely very cheap! I literally just posted about these in another thread! This is what they said:

KTR Coilovers to be a direct competitor of the B14 coilovers by Bilstein and they share many characteristics, including their spring rates.
They are designed to be competitive on track, as well as comfortable with everyday use.

I don’t do track, but like a blast on some quiet roads, hence was considering these and not sure whether to get just springs or coilovers.

Liam, what springs you have?

the springs i have are just very cheap ones from ebay. (got them because i had a broken one when first bought the car and had no money left)
They lowered the car roughly 20mm but i need coilovers. Not bothered about the ride quality on road as i have always had lowerd/ Bagged cars.
Haven't got lots of money atm to be spending 700quid on coilovers :worried:

But thank you all for the replys.

Same, I am poor as f*** at the moment. To be honest, been for a while now. Hence, I research the porkies out of cheap stuff.

Guys, honestly, if you can't afford coilovers, wait until you can. There must be a reason these are SO cheap, and honestly, I HIGHLY doubt that KTEC have managed to find some magic that Bilstein couldn't. Of course there's an element of paying for the name, but my god, the amount of development work and technical knowhow needed for suspension is through the roof.

There's a reason these are so cheap. And it's for absolute certain not because they're brilliant...

If all you want is lows, just get springs.

If you want proper suspension (and it IS so very worth it), then wait and save until you can get something good.

One of the very best things about these cars is how they handle. I just absolutely can NOT see these being an improvement over standard. In fact, I'd expect them to have the opposite effect.

Please don't!
