Things I like

Just like the other thread, but for things you like. It can be anything at all....

I like the fact that I'm finally in a position where I enjoy working on my car again. Having audis, bmws, mazdas etc has been a 100% hate relationship when it comes to working on them.

Renault is the way forward, so much easier! [emoji869]

Is that because everything has inevitably already snapped off - saving half the time to fix it ?

Saying that; part from an initial 'really bad' first two months with manifold, brakes, mapping etc [All the normal 200 issues i didn't research enough / at all] mines been pretty painless to own. In regard of working on it; you'd have to ask my mechanic :smirk:

My love is simple and starts early every working day by opening the garage door. The lines and curves still get me.....

The fact that I can actually afford a hot hatch now I'm middle aged rather than skinting myself out constantly when I was in my teens with my 5GT.
Every bill or upgrade(there was plenty!) was a weeks money back then or borrowed.

Actually that pretty accurate, my front bumper is only held on with about 6 screws! I can get it off in 5 mins though [emoji23]

I hate going into the unknown and finding out you've wasted time/money on a car, probably why I've come back to clios.

Quite a vast range for me. From geeky stuff to a mad night out lol. Here's a short list

Detailing (not a pro. Just a learning enthusiast)
Gaming on the PC mainly
Weight training
Fishing
Golf
Drinking/ nights out
Baffled as to how someone hasn't states the obvious yet..... FOOD! Who doesn't like a good feed lol
Spending money on all the above [emoji23]
Messing about and generally having a laugh and a joke about everything. Life's too short and all that!

*ahhh I almost forgot. Messing about with the car even though I don't really have a clue what I'm doing

Painted my calipers!
I got all the stuff to do them red and the paint I paid over the top for turned out to be crap, so I panicked and grabbed a left over (new) can of bmw cosmos black from my old e46. Turned out quite nice! Need to let them harden properly and I'll get a few coats of high temp lacquer on them.

The only thing that I can say is, everything I like costs me a clean fortune! Lol
Anything bull breed dog, love all dogs/animals but have a fondness for the bull breeds as they get such a bad press and are such a loving breed.
Cars
Bikes
Watches
Aftershaves
Interior design
Constantly looking for a new plot (the only free thing I enjoy, saying that, if I find the right one it's Gona cost me a fortune! Lol)
Winter holidays

Winter holidays @Cossers ?

Intrigued. Like go on - tell me more ?

Lol, you shocked! Love all things mountainous, love boarding, skiing, even do a bit of climbing too, go to Switzerland, been in the biggies, zermatt etc but love a little town called kandersteg the most! Picture postcard and the locals are great, cheap skiing as well.

Just kind of like trying new stuff as well, bit of a jack of all trades! Tbh there not a lot I haven't put my hand to, I'm too tight to pay someone and too fussy to get someone good enough!

No-no not shocked at all. Slightly jealous perhaps

I'd love to do the winter hol thing. I'd also love to do a outdoor survival type hol, a trekking through the bush / forest type hol too. My wife isn't necessarily a beach girl....but certainly a warm climate lover. So we mostly follow the sun.

Might well end up booking one of the more adventurous options on my own in the nearish future I reckon. Won't be many years until I'll be too old to be arsed !

Look good. What did you use to clean and prep them up? Thinking of doing mine soon

Go for it mate, my wife is a beach lover and even she likes the winter ones! If you go to one of the lesser known places you can ski in peace, I love where I go as there is a great sled run which the wife loves, I'd recommend getting a sled each if you ever take the plunge on any of them as the extra weight on one can get the speed up a bit to dangerous levels quite quickly! Lol

Only started climbing last year, in kandersteg they are big into ice climbing (frozen waterfalls) as jock died in January this year hols were cancelled so I havnt got the chance to try it out but will be for sure.

As said, if you go to the right place it can be reasonable to ski, the wrong place for a week is 5k plus!

I know I bang on to a lot about Switzerland but even in the summer it's stunning! Hot enough to sunbathe and if you go to the right spot, plenty of adventure to be had, actually zermatt is not too bad in the summer, check out the paragliding of the matterhorn that's offered

Some good vids of it on you tube

'Slightly jealous' has now turned into full-on envious !!!

We're already booked and payed 3 holidays ahead. With no extra holiday at work left-over to cover anything else. But maybe 2019 (?).

I've been skiing as a kid a few times and loved it. Like really loved it. Funny thing is my Brother in law had a house in France for years and they used to go skiing there regularly. While i had the easy opportunity i wasn't interested. Now it's gone - muggins here fancies it. Brilliant........
