Coilovers and good discounts

Anyone advise on any good discounts for coilovers at the moment, looking at B14s seems import from germany is around £620, if the price was right may stretch to KWV3's - its for fast road setup.

Thanks.

have my b14's from Germany too but believe there's an UK seller who does them for under £600 now if i am not mistaken...??

Regal Autosport were doing them for £589 back in late August but the offer must be over by now I'd guess and I'm unsure of current price. £620 sounds ok if it's delivered. They're a good fast road choice

Just an update im still looking, bit of a wild card, but contacted AST as they are fairly close to me, after so much bad feedback about the customer service they replied to my initial email within minutes and a few emails later they have the 5100's in stock and can be installed next week - even offered a discount on price so very tempted, yes more money and a bit of a different level compared to KW v3's but soooo damn tempting....

When I had my VX220 on the VX forum lots of people used the Gaz Gold coilovers and always saw good feedback on them, seems Bilsteins, KW get the most feedback here.

What are the B14's like? I'm planning on mainly using my car on track and have had Bilstein before so I'm keen on these, however they are only height adjustable and the damping settings can't be touched can they? My worry is that I'll spend the money and actually want something that is firmer.

Maybe @Chris can help there, although his are on a 200t, they're still B14's.

They are fine for track use for sure but if you intend to use your car purely for this purpose, then I would suggest a diff set up..firmer for sure..

Thanks guys, do Bilstein do any other applications for the Clio? Their website is terrible :tearsofjoy:

Not *yet* mate. But there is something in the works apparently.

However, if you're serious about track work and want to maximise your handling, you'll need something more serious mate. Especially if you're going to be on proper tyres.

How has this thread been running for a month and we've not heard anything from @Yiannis197 yet?

Yeah I thought as much :worried: I'm going with AD08R's for now. Looks like only option is V3 but then I'd want camber adjustable top mounts which puts me in to Clubsport/AST territory. I'd best get saving....

haha because I am not aware of any discounts Mes and also because there is a limited availability of suspension kits for your cars anyway with plenty of threads/info.

My personal opinion is that if you go for a reasonably priced coilover go for the bilsteins. It's too much of a kit for the money. I wouldn't go close to a KW product, V1s are too soft and expensive and V3s are seriously overpriced for a twin tube setup. Let alone that they are far from bulletproof and expensive to rebuild. HRs (fixed damping) are not great as members have reported understeer, they must have got the damping and springs rates a bit mixed up there.

CUP chassis is great and can handle sticky tyres (bar semi slicks), you won't be seeing an improvement at the track with the bilsteins, however at a bumpy road the car will be much better.

Ditching the cup chassis in a quest for track improvement can only lead to AST. Expensive but which premium product is not?
