Speedline help

Just got a good deal on some Speedlines. I believe they are 8j as they are stamped so. But.
On another spoke it says 7.5j??? Which one are they? And does this make a difference to tyre size?
they read going around.

They're cup racer Speedlines. They have the markings you describe.

Also being 8j wide the natural fit is a 225 tyre. A 215 will fit though they will get some stretch on it.

Makes no difference when buying tyres, I'm running 8J cup racers. 225 width tyres fit snug on them, 215 has a bit of stretch on them

Yes 1/2" makes all the difference lol.

You'll be surprised how much more the wheel will fill the arch I love mine

I'm just about to replace my Bridgestone Potenza RE070 with another set of the same. At £84 per tyre I honestly don't think there's a better tyre in the same price bracket. Only available in 225 or 235 though.

Yep, they're cup racer ones. The normal speedlines only have the 7.5j marking (or so my research indicated anyway).

I never checked the spokes of them, just assumed they weren't? Lol

Strange! I did measure them and they do appear to be 8j. I'll seek further clarification though to be sure!

if so or even if not can you check the spokes and take pics of the marking to clear this up once and for all.
