K-Tec Goodies but now not sure

I took the plunge booked in with K- Tec for there cat back exhaust ,remap and induction kit , are these gonna work as I'm hearing things like exhaust rattles, open airfilter will be sucking warm air etc etc I just want to put my mind at rest my options before were to just go to AMD and get a milltek exhaust because I wanted a better sound.

The K-Tec cat back sounds lovely, my mate had one and it was great,

Those 3 together should work well, I'd do those rather than just a milltek

Yeah I keep hearing people on here having rattle probs that's why I'm getting them to fit it.

Just make sure you're happy with it before you drive all the way back.

i had my ktec on for just over two years and never had a problem with it. you will get odd ones that have dodgy fitting, rattles etc. just make sure it has a good run before leaving ktec.

as said,when ktec are done and dusted,take your car for a 5/10 minute spirited drive to put the exhaust through a heat cycle then get out and check both tailpipes are central in the diffuser outlet

if not then take it back to be adjusted

They doing a offer on remaps when have a miltek system brought and fitted by them

That sounds like a winner. It would cost him about £60 in fuel to K-Tec as well.

I would of thought that it is because you usually only hear negative press and not the good side. For every negative there are probably many positive but they are not voiced.

If you read enough forums you'll find people with issues on everything and with everybody. I know I read on here people with the standard exhaust that rattles.

So from what I'm reading I should just get the milltek instead maybe order the induction fit myself get remapped at AMD . Thought the K Tec exhaust was better and would be easier to let them fit it all as they make it. For the Exhaust ,remap and induction £1000.

janspeed make the exhausts for ktec mate i beleive....

personally i'd let ktec do all the work,saves a lot of messing about and lets face it,they've done enough of these to know there stuff

out of interest,what gains are you expecting for your £1000
