Parcel Shelf...

Apologies in advance as I would bet money that this has been asked before, but what have people done about the awful, rattley, flimsy thing Renault like to call a parcel shelf?

It amazes me they have not put some sort of rubbers/rubber feet somewhere on it to prevent it banging about the place.

Anyone got a good DIY fix, it does my head in, especially since the entrance to were I live is cobbled! Argh!

Thanks

I cut up a squash racket grip into thin pieces and then glued it onto the sides where the parcel shelf sits. You can't see it because the grip is the same colour as the plastic it's glued to. I'm sure you could use something else though.

Ah, I like that idea, was thinking something similar, good plan. What type of glue did you use? I find that anything I have tried to stick there seems to peel off very easily, it is nearly like a non stick surface!!

No one else have trouble actually sticking things on that little ledge bit then? Anything I seem to stick to it, even really sticky pads just peel right off...like it is non-stick! :worried:

The parcel shelf rattle bugs me too, although I have gone for a much simpler solution and purchased an Oulton cage so that I can ditch the shelf... Problem solved

Would the sticky side stick to the parcel shelf itself? Should still stop the rattle if it won't stick to the small rail.
