I was in ktec racing yesterday and whilst on the ramps they found that both flexi parts of the manifold had split. They quoted me a price from Renault and it was over £700 plus atleast 3/4hours labour. So I went to Renault today because I have an extended warranty and they won't touch it. Now I'm hoping this a common problem and need you guys to tell me if you've had the same problem and or have the same problem. If there's enough of you surely a phone call direct to Renault will help get a contribution towards a replacement??

you would have to be very anal to class it as part of the exhaust and not the engine.

Have you got the extended warranty from Renault? If so forget Renault and call the warranty directly. Explain the situation and I'm sure you won't have any issues whatsoever. This part is definitely covered.
