Wheels getting powder coated

E

Ed...

took my wheels to "the wheel specialist" today in openshaw, they have so much choice of colour I could not make my mind up, in the end i went for a plain old gun metal grey as its the closest to the original on the 197 wheels, I got full refurb on 4 wheels for 220 all in and I cant wait to get em back. the wheels are off a megane 230 Ill post some pictures when I get the call to pick them up..

Yeah please let us know how they turn out.

I had a quote off them the other day and hoping to get a set of wheels done from there soon, so would be interested to find out how you get on!

had mine doen by the leeds branch - good job......but i have noticed some paint flaws have started to show up - so will be going back to get them sorted :001_rolleyes:

I do think the car looks better with that extra inch, didnt want to change the OE look of the car too much so went for the Gunmetal again. cant wait to get my disks on now

yep - looks lots better on 18............but for ultimate handling i still think the 17 have it ;/

I have to agree with the handling comment. the car feels a little more unstable with these on. looks have overidden practicality lol getting a set of cup racers off craig at APD for track days

i still have my old wheels............still like new and still undecided what to do with them :innocent:

well I sold mine on ebay to fund the r26 wheels lol. only got £435 for the set but 1 was slightly curbed (tired driving :worried:)

+ they were almost due a new set of rubbers so had to think about that too. didnt want to put a new set of contis on for som1 else's enjoyment lol

I had a quote from the Notts branch last week and they wanted £258 inc VAT to do 4 in their charcoal colour

i think the wheel specialist are doing a fantastic job and at a such a good price the mobile ones will soon be a thing of the past especially when they turn out like this VVVVV
