wheel warranty

as some of you know i have megane 18 on and were refurbished by "the wheel specialist" leeds

i had all the wheels off for a brake strip clean and bleed and whilst off noticed on a couple of the wheels black spots.......

these black spots are in the paint and one wheel in particular looks bad up close !

i checked the paperwork and found i still had 7 days warranty remaining - so i called in today and showed them the wheels....

....3 wheels to be fully refurbished next week - RESULT :thumbup:

its only 3 as i had one refurbed as i clipped a kerb

to be honest the guy there was great - came out and had a look - "yep thats not right when can you bring it in for us to sort it out for you"

so next tuesday should be back to 100% - just in time for the national meet !

thats does look mint. i went for gunmetal as i like the look of the car just wanted bigger and wider to fit bigger brakes.

yep - with the wheels being wider it has started to stone chip the paint near the side decals - so fitted them to help stop it

Mines a bit chipped there. Trait of high powered front wheel drive cars...my 106 GTi used to be bad. Had the arches painted in the end.

well got the 3 wheels re-done !

only thing is with the nearside having been repainted a few months back the paint match is pants....................really up set over it and i am taking it back tomorrow :@

i only took the 3 wheels down as i took advantage of the wheels off for doing a bit of a clean and another wax of the paintwork

but the nearsdie front wheel looks more silver than the rear wheel - and if not sorted it will bug me - just hope its sorted for saturday as going down to the national meet to help out :001_rolleyes:

went back today with the wheels on and showed them the colour difference............the guy there wasnt happy either !

cars now with them and they are going to re-do the nearside wheels again to get a proper colour match............

they checked the colour match and decided to strip and re-paint the one back wheel to match the others - all sorted now - so have had all four wheels stripped and re-painted foc :thumbup1:

colour is now slightly more silver than before - but not bothered as long as its sorted for the national
