whats that beeping?

after having my r27 a week, i noticed that sometimes when i open a door it beeps 4 times then goes off
but other times it doesnt

what does that beeping indicate?

I think I'm right in saying that you've opened the door too quickly, you should wait for the sensor to recognise your hand in the gap in the handle before waiting 1 second and pulling the handle. Can't tell you why it's there though...
