Upper Torque Mount

Hi all

If I change the upper torque engine mount will I have to steady the engine with a jack or will it be self supporting?

no you will be fine..no need to support your engine..

It says on the power flex instructions to remove the retaining cover on the torque arm to get the original bush out, does this need to go back on?

Yes yellow series.
I fitted a Toyo manifold and although I bent the sub frame slightly to give more clearance I thought it better to uprate the engine mounts as I would not like to see another flexi split

Pretty akward to get that metal surround off isnt it!

After looking on the forums and hearing "its only half an hour job" I thought I would jump in the garage and sort it, an hour later and I am still trying get the steel plate off, in the end I got the grinder on the fold over tabs so I could bend them out easier!
