Tracking

How much should I pay for tracking?

Kwikfit want £31! Seems a lot to me when it's such an easy job if you've got the right equipment!!

Just cost me £63 at Demon Tweeks to get my 182 done including front camber setup after having had a track rod end replaced, lowering springs fitted and camber bolts installed.... on their 4 wheel laser kit

But it also depends on what you want. That 4 wheel laser alignment can be around £50 ( think that's what my mate paid) with this, you can get them to set all the camber up to a track set up or even a custom one.

I used tyres specialists before and yeah I guess what they do is ok, but I've never felt truelly satisfied, if they can't get it spot on they just advise new tyres.
Your best bet mate is go to a Motorsport specialist somewhere that looks after race and track cars. These people actually understand how to set a car up, know the ins and outs so to speak. Not just put tyres on rims granted there not as cheap but you get what you pay for I guess. I use track torque in tockwith, I'm sure there will be similar people near you.

Thanks for the advice - I kinda needed to get it done today otherwise it wasn't going to happen before the how fast event, so went to kwikfit - good service, left front was a mile out. We'll see how it is after a few miles, and if I'm not happy I can keep going back till its right.
