Timing problems?

Hi can anyone help or advise me?

my car is back firing if i tap the accelorator also not as powerful. at first i thought it was my coils and plugs but have been told this could be timing problems?

is there anyway i can check my timing?

If you no what you're doing you can check the timing. If you don't just take top Cambelt cover off and see if belt slack, teeth missing or other damage. Belts usually go in a big way so check plugs etc first. Yours wouldn't be the first to have a plug hole full of water or oil. Buy a cheap code reader !!!!! Instead of guessing
