Throttle pedal vibration

Hey guys,

My 197 was in for a exhaust manifold replacement, but since it got back I have a quite heavy vibration in the throttle pedal from around 3000 to 5000 rpm. Any idea what might cause this?

Hmm, not sure what you mean with lower mount...? There were a few things replaced though:

- exhaust manifold
- all engine mounts
- lower ball joint
- new front shocks

Sorry, didn't check what I wrote!

The new engine mounts will be causing the vibration. Give them a few hundred miles to bed in and you should be fine.

For future reference

I've recently mounted an upgraded torque link and the vibration in the throttle became even worse. I've thought I had changed all engine mounts by now, but seems there's also one near the timing belt. Guess what mount caused the vibration...

And on a side note, this is the new torque link:

What an massive improvement!!

Removing the silly trumpet next to the motor will also result in more vibrations below 4000rpm, but in a good way!
