strange noise

Hello!

Recently when starting and switching off the car I get this strange noise as if someone is blowing a trumpet only way to describe it really, car seems to run fine then seems to go sluggish across the rev range aswell so not sure if this has anything to do with it. It doesn't always happen seems to be coming from a black round bit on the side of the inlet. Anyone have any idea what this is and if it would cause running issues?

from the part with a hose coming out underneath? if so, that part is to do with allowing the fumes grom the crankcase back into the inlet. unsure why it would be making a noise and how it could affect running. you changed anything on the car recently?

and when you say it goes sluggish? is this before the temp gauge reaches its usual level?

I changed the manifold back in August last year and its been fine since then also changed the thermostat in August as that was playing up. Yeah the car gets hot to it running temp and feels good for most days some days it will run great then seems to lose its go and no kick at 5k just seems to rev slower than usual am thinking possibly faulty fuel injectors.
Sorry forgot to say the noise comes from the oil breather found a few threads with others with similar issues going to check the seal isn't damaged and get a new one should solve the issue don't think this would cause any running issues either
