strange noise???

When i drive my Clio i get a strange noise like here is a stone stuck in my tyre and the faster i go the quicker the noise gets. Now before you say it yes i have checked all the tyres and nothing in them. The noise is coming from the drivers side front wheel i think sounds like a deep clicking noise i jacked the car up and spun the wheels didn't hear anything but when i drive you can hear it like it only does it when its under heavy load it would be a wheel bearing would it???? any1 had same problem or knows what it could be????? cheers guys

cambelt is in that area and the aux belt could be a idler or tensioner on its way out.

but wouldnt it make that noise if it was up on the axle stands running in 1st gear??

might only appear under load with you would never get on axle stands

drivers side is also the side with the longer driveshaft that is supported by a support bearing....could be this thats clicking and on its way out
