stoopid newbie question ??

with the keyless entry on my 197 , obviously it unlocks when i get up close, but does it lock again on its own when i walk away or does it only lock using the fob??
im too paranoid to leave it to see lol

You have the button to lock it, if you unlock it open the door and walk away it will stay unlock, if you unlock it and don't open the door it will lock after a period of time.

Close the door and then press the button on the handle. easy

ahh very interesting, the button on the handle is worn heavily from previous owner ,but i dont really use it, i will try and see if i prefer to do it that way rather than fob

i didnt know about pressing the boot diamond either! thats ace lol

With both buttons (door and key fob) one press locks, two quick presses deadlocks.

bear in mind that the lock buttons on the handles are prone to failing. I've replaced mine twice now lol
