steering rack needed me thinks

it came home from milton keynes to grimsby (170m) on piggy back, hit a kerb and the steering rack has snapped cant jack it up coz of the weather but does anyone know if the rack is the same as any other? megane ect cheers john!!

Oh dear, obviously weakened by having to much fun around the mk roundabouts! ;-) I think they are different, it uses Megane track rods/rod ends. If it is knackered upgrade to the cup rack, faster response and better feel. Nit much difference in cost either if I remember correctly.

You sure it's not just a steering arm that's snapped about £50 a side I think diy job aswel if you have the equipment

Would have thought the rack ends or control arm would snap well before the steering rack

Had a better look and it looks like i can be just the end done, then its mot and then sale!!
