Squeal noise

Right, on my 200, usually on first start up I am getting a high pitched squealing noise.
It happened a few months ago, then happened again today, turn the car off and back on and it stops. I was thinking belts like most people will say it is, but!
When you turn the engine off it squeals for 5+ seconds ish, so the engine is so longer rotating

Anyone else had this issue?!

You had a look into the starter motor? Sounds like it could be a dodgy solenoid sticking on when it shouldn't be. I've heard them stick on a few seconds after starting and giving off a squeal noise but not so much once you've stopped the engine... but worth looking at I reckon. Not sure how easy these are to get at to remove on the Clio?
