Sound Proofing

Hi,

As some of you know my cars not exactly quiet, and in feb i'm having the pre cat delete pipe put on, so it'll be a little to extreme on the interior after that!

So what i was planning to do is line the boot and under rear seats etc to help quieten everything a little, but the problem is,

What is the best material to use to sound proof the car?

Thanks

There used to be something called Brown Bread that was meant to be good.

Think it's made by a company called Dynomat?

For some reason I've just got this odd image of a naked guy with a White Stig helmet on fist pumping whilst driving along.

I'll see myself out....

Lol to that. On a more serious note, you can buy sheets of sound deadening material on eBay and just cut it into the desired areas, job done.

the products mentioned will stop vibrations in panels, if you want to stop exhaust noise then underlay or something along those lines will work better and be far cheaper. I know this due to doing it to my previous car for audio reasons. I experimented a little and found to stop the noise outside then silent coat and dynamat didnt really make any difference they just stop resonance.
