shock absorber painted marks??

ive done a search but couldnt really find anything that could help. Should the colour marks on the shock absorbers all be the same?

i have a 197 none cup and had a n/s/f shocker replaced by dealer a few weeks back, ive noticed that the shocker they fitted has a orange colour mark but the o/s/f has a purple mark, the two rears are both silver, is this right or should the all be the same?

Any help would be much appreciated

That's not right, fronts should both be the same and rears should be the same.

I think purple is the FF shock and orange is the cup shock, definitely take it back to them and demand they sort it out

Lol you have got to love stealers!!!! So they have fitted a cup shocker! Unbelivable, thanks for your help

cups are orange

FF is pink front and silver rear or visa versa if i remember right

cheers guys, went back today to book it in, guy on reception was pretty sure they havnt fitted the wrong 1! i told him what i had found and then even showed that there was a none cup 200 on the car park with pink/purple marks.....he then started to think i was maybe right but was baffled how parts could get this wrong when it was ordered from the chassis number
